Collection and use of data for contract management and opening of customer accounts
We collect personal data made available by you voluntarily during the order process or by contacting us (e.g. via the contact form or by email) or when you open a customer account. The type of data collected is apparent from the relevant entry forms. The data provided by you will be used to manage your contract and to process your inquires. Your data will be blocked from further use after the agreement has been completely processed or after your customer account was deleted and they will be deleted after expiry of the statutory periods for record retention under tax laws and commercial laws, unless you have explicitly consented to the further use of your data or we have explicitly reserved such further use as permitted by law and disclosed this fact to you below. You may have your customer account deleted, at any time, either by sending a message to the contact set out below or by using a function available for that purpose in your customer account.
Disclosure of data for contract performance
In order to perform the contract, we will disclose your data to the shipping company contracted by us, to the extent that such disclosure is required for the delivery of the goods ordered. The required banking details will be disclosed to the bank processing the payment or to other payment providers contracted by us or to the payment service provider nominated by you, depending on which payment service provider you select when placing the order. Some of the selected payment service providers may collect such data, insofar as you create an account with them. In such case, you need to register with the payment service provider by providing your access data when placing the order. The payment service provider’s data privacy policy will apply in such cases.
Use of data upon subscription to the email newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data necessary for that purpose or any separate data provided by you, to send you our email newsletter on a regular basis and according to the consent you have given. You may unsubscribe to our newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact set out below or by using a link provided in the newsletter.
Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
In addition, we reserve the right to store your first name and name, your postal address and - insofar as we received additional information from you in the context of our contractual relationship - your title, academic degree, your year of birth and your professional, industry or business title in summarised lists and to use them for advertising purposes, e.g. for sending interesting offers and information on our products by letter post.
